Dr. Earl S. Afterward, he earned a Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania.〔 Dr. Richardon also served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969.〔 Dr. Richardson became a Fellow at the Ford Foundation and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation where he conducted extensive research on critical problems in higher education relevant to racial autonomy, desegregation and integration.
